Supporting our community through golf

At the Colleton River Collegiate Charity Golf Tournament, proceeds benefit charities in the greater Bluffton and Hilton Head Island areas. Through the generosity of its sponsors and supporters, the tournament has raised an impressive $85,000 from 2022 to 2024, helping local organizations improve the lives of those in need.

How It Works

Donations are collected through the Colleton River Collegiate Fund under the umbrella of the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry, a 501(3)(c) organization, which has a 100% 4-star rating from Charity Navigator for accountability and financial transparency. Post-event, net proceeds are transferred from the Colleton River Collegiate Fund to the Colleton River Charitable Fund, then distributed as grants to local charitable organizations.

These organizations provide essential services like food assistance, shelter, and medical care. A full accounting of how the funds are distributed is available through the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry, ensuring transparency and accountability.

You will always receive a donation acknowledgment letter from the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry for your records.
